Psychic Maps exist as a sonic three-piece fronted by Simon Maclaren (Loves Ugly Children, Subliminals), along with cohorts Ciaran Pascoe (bass) and Victor Doppleganger (drums). Their sound is based around alternative guitar tunings - fired up with lashings of fuzz and overdrive, married to snare rolls, tom beats, actually musical (!) bass lines, and topped with introspective melodic vocals. Loose reference points might be Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jnr, Husker Du and Maclaren's former two known bands.
