We, The Bemsha Swing, are a beat combo from Auckland, New Zealand. Our days and nights are spent in dedication, in meditation, searching for the One Beat that will bring truth and beauty together in a steaming, furious collision; we pray daily we never find it. We hunt for freedom in feedback, drenching crass cut illumination in a wail of dripping, white hot noise. We plow the fertile fields of the Anti-Bop; straight eight rhythms machine drummed 'til they are machine gunned into the great subconscious.

Our tools sit in direct opposition to the Beats and Boppers quarter of a century past; our aims remain apposite.
