Look for the turn off to Otama Beach on the southern approach to Kuaotunu on SH 25.

This huge rural camping area is separated from the superb beach by dunes and is a pleasant base from which to explore the dramatic coastline. There is no power here and gas cookers are essential as you are not allowed any fires. Taps are plentiful and dump points provided.

Suited to quiet family groups, no stereos are permitted in the camp. Your host is Roy, who will accept vaccinated dogs and welcomes campervans.
