About Western Springs Stadium:

Western Springs Stadium has been home to the famous Western Springs Speedway since 1929, but it's not just the fast cars here! The stadium is 10 hectares, right in the heart of the action with beautiful Western Springs park, the fascinating MOTAT (Museum of Transport and Technology), and the fun of Auckland Zoo all bordering its perimeters. It also has three natural sports fields, and is the home ground for the Ponsonby Rugby Club.

Terracing and sculpted embankment surrounds the natural amphitheatre, which has hosted an array of awesome concerts - AC/DC, Eminemn, Led Zeppelin and the late, great David Bowie have all played here.

Then there are the festivals - Big Day Out, Auckland City Limits, Soulfest, Taste of Auckland, and Pasifika - whatever you're into, Western Springs Stadium has hosted it!

Eminem’s Rapture event in 2014, featuring local star David Dallas and several international opening acts became the largest hip hop concert New Zealand had ever seen with an estimated crowd of 60,000 packing out the stadium.
