Bring the children for a picnic or just come for a walk in the beautiful Timaru Botanic Gardens. A lovely afternoon can be spent with family and friends in the relaxing environs of the gardens.

The species roses in the Timaru Botanic Garden have received national recognition.

Highlights include the Graeme Paterson Conservatory, ponds and threatened plant collections. Other special collections include:
• Roses, Erica, conifers, herbaceous, herbs, legumes, annuals.
• Native flora with emphasis on Scrophulariaceae and indigenous grasses
• South American, cacti, succulents, pinetum.
