Whangārei Anglican strives to build a community for all people through an encounter with God that brings personal transformation, relational formation, social justice and cultural renewal. Based at the parish centre of Christ Church in the suburb of Regent, the parish seeks to share the love of God with our neighbours through both welcome and service.

The Anglican Church has had a presence in Whangārei from the time of the earliest missionaries, becoming an official parish of the Diocese of Auckland in 1860. Over this time, generations of people from throughout the city have served God in mission and ministry, a history we seek to continue.

Though centred upon Christ Church, Whangārei Anglican also includes the faith community of All Saints', Maungakaramea, and other Christian communities and ministries.
